About
Missouri Wilderness Coalition (MWC) is an informal but vigorous affiliation of organizations and individuals in support and defense of the scarce remaining resources of wildness on the public lands in our state. Dating from the 1970’s, we have worked with Missouri’s conservation community, the Forest Service, the general public, and the Missouri Congressional delegation for the statutory designation of a number of Wilderness Areas, including seven on the Mark Twain National Forest and one in Mingo National Wildlife Refuge. MWC seeks the broadest possible partnerships, and focuses only on issues that are directly related to the protection of wildness and wilderness.
If you would like to get in touch with the Missouri Wilderness Coalition, learn what you can do to help protect wilderness in Missouri, or find out where to send a donation, please feel free to contact us at any time.
